2012 Was a Good Year

2012 will be remembered, in my family, as the Year of the Wedding! It was about this time last year that my daughter got engaged and it was a whirlwind of wedding planning up until the big day in August. Since she is my only daughter, I thought: I only get do this once and we’re going to do it big! Not big as in hundreds of guests or the most lavish of weddings, but big for us. Lucky for me, Cory isn’t the “bridezilla” kind of girl, and really left most of the planning up to me (with her and her fiance’s approval of my decisions, of course). So I quickly got busy, making appointments with vendors, dress shopping, and planning and making tons of DIY projects. I loved every minute of it! From making menus for the bridal shower, shower decorations and favors, wedding invitations, butterfly place cards, programs, to baking 100+ dozen cookies and even making all the bouquets – I had a blast! I couldn’t have done it without my Silhouette Cameo (except for the cookie-baking part – it was no help there!)

Planning and making stuff for this wedding was how Create & Babble came to be. So many family members, friends and co-workers encouraged me to do this, so here I am. I can’t tell you how much I enjoy doing this. I love coming up with new ideas or putting my own spin on things – whether it’s crafts, decorating or home improvement projects. I just wish there were more hours in the day (or that I didn’t have to go to that I-get-a-paycheck-there-job so I could do this all the time! Maybe some day!

In the meantime, stay tuned. Santa brought some power tools : ) (Not sure if my dad is looking down rolling his eyes or beaming with pride!)

Hey, everybody. I recently came across the website https://serviceservotech.com/ and was pleasantly surprised with their services. This site provides a wide range of appliance repair and maintenance services. I asked for help with a problem with my washing machine and their team of professionals did a great job! I highly recommend this site to anyone who values quality and reliability!
