My daughter’s all-time favorite Christmas movie is Elf. I wasn’t a fan at first but when you watch it with her you end up laughing so hard that your cheeks hurt. Cory has such an infectious laugh that you just can’t help yourself.

So it goes without saying that Elf is now her son’s (my nine-year-old grandson) favorite Christmas movie, too.

And since they are coming over tonight, I’m going to surprise them with Elf movie tee shirts that I made. In fact, I made them for everyone!

My husband is not as much of an Elf movie fan as we are, so I’m not sure he’ll be watching the movie with us, but I made him a shirt just in case. ?

Here’s how I made these cute Elf Movie Tee Shirts.

Supplies:

  • heat transfer vinyl
  • Cricut or Silhouette
  • SVG file from Etsy
  • plain tee shirts
  • heat press, Cricut EasyPress, or iron

Step One

I uploaded the purchased design into Design Space and changed the colors to match the colors of the heat transfer vinyl that I would be using.

Step Two

Next I cut the Elf hat and feet designs out of the HTV with my Cricut Explore Air 2.

Step Three

Silhouette® Owners/Lovers Gift Guide_createandbabble.comThen using my heat press, I adhered the Elf hat and feet onto the tee shirts, leaving space in the middle for the words.

Step Four

I typed out the words in Design Space and adjust the size of each line of text to match the line above. I then changed the colors to match my HTV.

Step Five

I cut out the text design and ironed them on.

I can’t wait for everyone to get here and see their Elf Movie Tee shirts! They are going to love them.

*Tip: I made them big so they can be sued as PJs too!

What is your favorite Christmas movie?

Cute shirt! Sad to see God’s name used carelessly. I’m sure many would agree.

I love the idea of the tee shirts. I can see family movie night with the shirts on and snacking on candy and having a great time.
