Hi friends,
If you’re new here, you may have come over from visiting Stephanie at One Mile Home & Style Blog. Welcome! All week we are talking Spring decorating and I specifically am talking about Spring Dining Room Table Decorating.
I can’t tell you how happy I am that it is finally Spring. Well at least according to the calendar. Mother Nature has other ideas. But, I take comfort in knowing that warm weather is right around the corner – I am so not a fan of the cold and snow. I’ll take Spring and Summer all year long! Which brings me to today’s topic. I just got done decorating my dining room table for Easter. But just take away the Easter basket grass and the bunnies and you have a table decorated for Spring.
Spring Dining Room Table Decorating
My Spring dining room table starts with a floral tablecloth with a white background (the white background is important!) I picked mine up at TJ Maxx for $15. (Affiliate links are added for your convenience.)
I feel like the tablecloth is my base canvas and I just start layering on top of that base.
Both my dishes (Lenox Butterfly Meadow) and the tablecloth have white backgrounds with floral accents so they work well together without matching. I added colored chargers to break up the floral with a solid color. (Come back later this week and I’ll show how I got those awesome colored chargers)
Since Easter is just over two weeks away, I decided to experiment and add in a few Easter elements. Like the grass in the dessert bowls. For Easter, I will add colored Easter Eggs to these pretty little bowls.
Some texture was added with vases filled with flowers and dried lilac. I love to see groupings on tables like these two vases.
And here’s another grouping of baskets.
And another grouping. This time Easter Bunnies!
This dining room table decor can be used all throughout Spring. I’ll just remove the Easter decorations and add more flowers.
