It’s time once again for more thrift store upcycle projects. These projects are so popular. Probably because everyone loves a bargain, and a challenge too. It’s so fun to see what everyone comes up with every month and I am always blown away by the creativity.
Plus it’s interesting to see what items are found at different thrift stores across the country.
The Rules:
- Upcycle an item(s) from a thrift store, resale store, or garage sale into a new piece of decor.
- There’s no monthly theme.
- There’s no budget to stick to.

As for my project, I found an 80’s style wooden handmade basket for $2 at my local thrift store. Well it’s not really a basket, it’s more of a wooden tote. Take a look:
What would you call it? Besides outdated?
Well regardless of what it’s called, it’s definitely old, dirty, and outdated. But after a few coats of spraypaint and some washi tape, it has a new updated look and purpose.
