This Crab Dip recipe was first shared here two years ago. It really is the Best Crab Dip Recipe ever.
I make this Crab dip at every year at Christmastime. It’s always a hit. I have even given the recipe and ingredients as a gift. You won’t find a lot of recipes here on Create & Babble but the ones I do share, like the Old Fashioned Nut Rolls, are tried and true. And many have been in my family for generations. If you are looking for good Christmas Cookie Recipes, you won’t be disappointed with these family favorites.

It’s Day 5 and we are sharing Holiday Party Food Ideas!
There are only six ingredients in this dip: crabmeat, mayo, cream cheese, chopped onion, hot sauce, and lemon juice.
My tips: chop the onion very finely . . .
. . . squeeze the room-temperature lemon over a small strainer to catch the seeds,
and bake the dip in a pretty, Pfaltzgraff oven-safe casserole dish.
- 16 ounces lump crab meat
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1-1/2 cups mayonaise
- 1/3 cup finely chopped onion
- juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tables hot sauce
- Preheat oven to 350
- Combine all ingredients except for the crab meat and mix well
- Fold in crab meat
- Pour into oven-safe casserole dish
- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes
Serve with crackers, veggies, or cocktail bread
