Welcome to another edition of Silhouette® Sunday on Create & Babble! If you’re new, Silhouette® Sunday is a series I started a few weeks ago to share a little Silhouette®-related tip, trick, project, deals – anything related to my favorite crafting machine ; )
Since Easter is coming up, I made this cute, little, Easter Egg Banner to hang on our bookcase. (The top of the bookcase is our faux mantel since we don’t have a fireplace.)
If you find yourself in need of a cute, little, Happy Easter Banner, I gotcha covered! Just download this free printable, cut out the eggs, punch a few holes, then string them together with a little baker’s twine for a sweet, last minute Easter decoration! OR, if you have a Silhouette®, here’s a free cut file for you to use (personal use only please).
For those of you that are new Silhouette users, here’s how to make your own Happy Easter banner in Silhouette Studio®:
Use the oval drawing tool to draw the oval. Double click to bring up the edit points.
Grab the bottom edit point and drag up to create an egg shape.
Fill egg shape with a pattern by clicking on Open Fill Pattern Window Icon (top right of screen-3rd icon in from the left)
Type out word(s) in the font and size of your choice (I used Bebas Neue) then ungroup. Fill each letter with a color (Fill Color Window)
Group each egg and letter together (Command + G or Control + G)
Change cut setting to “Cut Edge”
All that’s left to do is cut, poke holes, and string together!
