The laundry room is done! And I have to say that I think I have a pretty glamorous laundry room. Welcome to the final reveal of the One Room Challenge.
But first, before I get to the reveal photo, here’s a little (cringe-worthy) reminder of where it all started:
{YIKES!!!} Nothing too glamorous about this!
{REALLY????} That’s downright atrocious!
Okay, enough of those embarassing photos. Take a look at my glam laundry room now!
It’s come a long way baby! Now I almost don’t mind doing the laundry!
The stripes, the bright pink, the gold, the shelves, the crystal chandelier, new flooring and the peg board all come together to make this one glam laundry room! Hey, if you’ve got to do laundry, you might as well do it in style!
How about this before and after!
Here’s a closer look at the right side of the laundry closet. Starting on the far right: The doors got a fresh coat of black paint. I made a pegboard and painted it with gold metallic spray paint.
I built and installed the two floating shelves. They were painted with a rich, gray chalk-type paint.
The gold bins are from TJ Maxx. The glass jar holding the laundry pods was from Home Goods.
I made that framed wall art and I love it! I promise to post a tutorial on how to make that soon.
The chandelier. Ahhh, the chandelier. Can you believe that I bought that several years ago from Joss and Main and it’s been sitting in my closet (unassembled) all this time? I’m so happy that I remembered that I had it! I think it looks perfect in this space. What do you think?
A chandelier in the laundry closet? I say: Why not!
The word art – I love it. I made the vinyl lettering using my Silhouette Cameo. The words were cut out twice: once with black vinyl and once with silver vinyl.
The black vinyl lettering was layered over the silver vinyl lettering to give it a shadow effect. The final result is word art that really pops off the wall. It’s one of my favorite features in the room. Well that and the chandelier ; )
Now let’s take a look at the before and after of the left side of the laundry closet.
The over flowing storage rack and shelving was removed. In its place is a pretty pink cabinet and a framed bulletin board (from Home Goods). Pretty and tidy!
More storage bins and pretty accessories were added to the top of the cabinet. Are you wondering what is in those fabulous fabric bins? The usual laundry room stuff: plastic bags, rags, cleaning supplies, etc.
I also keep cleaning supplies behind the closed doors of the cabinet, but these gloves (from Home Goods) were just too pretty to put away! ; )
I do believe that I have the most glamorous laundry room in the neighborhood. Shhh ….. don’t tell my neighbors – they’ll be jealous ; )

I would like to thank my flooring sponsor: Quick•Step Flooring. Quick•Step provided the Reclaimé White Wash Oak Planks for both my family room and the laundry room. I received the flooring in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

What a fun space! I didn’t know such cabinets existed! Please, how did you make stripes on your washer and dryer? Is it paint? How do you keep it from peeling? I have mismatched appliances and would live to unify their look.
Thanks.

Oh how fun! What a great makeover. If I had a laundry room with glam maybe I wouldn’t mind doing laundry as much. Maybe ?
I love the idea of the pegboard, and I have a wall in my laundry room that would be perfect for pegboard.
