Since this weekend is the unofficial kickoff of the summer season and Monday is Memorial Day and is a Patriotic Holiday, I thought a roundup of some of my red, white, and blue patriotic summer projects was in order.

red white and blue ideas for summer holidays

Let’s start with the patriotic bunting.

I love seeing this red, white, and blue bunting draped on porch and deck rails. Click here to get the full instructions on how I made it.

easy sew 5 minute pillow

Got about 5 minutes? That’s all it takes to sew up this quick red, white, and blue striped pillow using placemats! Get the directions here.

Make these glittery patriotic tee-shirts now and be ready for the Fourth of July in style!

And make a onesie for the baby too! I’ll even give you a free cut file! Get it here.

How to make a patriotic cornhole game set

Everyone loves to play corn hole! Find our how easy it is to build corn hole boards for your backyard!

I didn’t forget about decor! See how I dressed up dollar store vases with distressed red stars using deco foil. Get the tutorial here.

4th of July Star Canvas by createandbabble.com

This star canvas is probably my favorite patriotic project that I’ve made. I just love it and it so super simple to make. Click here for the how-to’s.

This red, white, and blue ribbon garland is another favorite of mine.  And again, so easy to make. See how here.

I hope these projects inspire you to make something red, white, and blue for summer decorating.

And while we are celebrating the unofficial start of summer, let’s not forget the real meaning of Memorial Day.
